PSI Education takes the privacy of all its stakeholders with the utmost of seriousness and is committed to protecting the privacy of both visitors and users of our site and services.

Our Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to PSI Education Group (“we”, “us” and/or “our”, “PSI Education”), the Remote Proctoring Platform (“Remote Proctoring Platform”, “RPNow”), Securexam Software (“Securexam”), and associated Services (“Remote Proctoring Services”, “RPNow Services”) it makes available to student, faculty or administrative users of the RPNow Product or Services ( “you”, “your”).

This Privacy Policy sets forth PSI Education’s policy with respect to information including Personal Data and other information that is collected from users of the Securexam, Remote Proctor Platform and or Services.

Information We Collect:

When you interact with us through the PSI Education Group Products, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That You Provide Through RPNow or Securexam:

We collect Personal Data from you when you voluntarily provide such information, such as when you: login to Planet SSI, access the Exam Registration Site to take and submit exams or to review and comment on exams; provide your photograph, photograph of your driver’s license and video recording of your exam-room environment to ensure remote exam integrity; or contact us with inquiries. Wherever Software Secure collects Personal Data we make an effort to provide a link to this Privacy Policy. Personal Data collected through the Education Group Products may include, but is not limited to, the following:

• Name
• Address
• Zip Code
• Photograph of Driver’s License and Driver’s License number
• Photograph of you
• Telephone Number
• Username and password
• Name of the educational institution you are enrolled at and course exam information
• E-mail address
• Exam submissions
• Audio and 360° video recordings of exam-room environment
• Credit card payment information

By voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data using our products, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of Software Secure located in the United States and the authorized third parties referred to herein.

Other Information:

Aggregated Personal Data

In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve the users of the RPNow Services, PSI Education often conducts research on its customer demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and PSI Education may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. PSI Education may also disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information:
PSI Education uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if you provide us with a photograph of your driver’s license during the Remote Procter installation and enrollment process, we will use the Personal Data you provide to facilitate authentication and identification for exam integrity review. Also, if you provide Personal Data in order to obtain access to the Remote Proctor Services, we will use your Personal Data to provide you with access to such services and to monitor your use of such services.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

PSI Education is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:

  • Educators: Personal Data will be made accessible by PSI Education to teachers, administrators and related personnel at the educational institution at which you are enrolled for purposes related to the administration of your examinations.
    • Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets.
    • Related Companies: We may also share your Personal Data with our Related Companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
    • Agents, Consultants, Contractors and Related Third Parties: PSI Education, like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions may include mailing information, maintaining databases, reviewing video collected during examination and processing payments. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
    • Legal Requirements: PSI Education may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of PSI Education, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

 Transmission of Information

Personal Data collected and received by us may be transmitted to the United States and other countries. By using this site and sending information to us electronically, you consent to international transmission of any data that you may choose to supply us.

Data Security

We employ physical, electronic, and managerial measures, including training of our personnel, designed to provide the Personal Data in our possession with reasonable protection from accidental loss or destruction, improper use, alteration, or disclosure. Personal Data collected or displayed through our Products is protected in transit by industry standard encryption processes. However, we cannot guarantee the security of Personal Data accessible on or transmitted via the Internet.

Your Choices:

You can choose whether to provide us with any Personal Data. If you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain PSI Education Products and Services.

Exclusions:

This Privacy Policy does not apply to any Personal Data collected by PSI Education other than Personal Data collected through PSI Education Group Products. This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to PSI Education through this Site or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, any ideas for new products or modifications to existing products, and other unsolicited submissions (collectively, “Unsolicited Information”). All Unsolicited Information shall be deemed to be non-confidential and PSI Education shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose, and distribute such Unsolicited Information to others without limitation or attribution.

Children:

Under our standard services, PSI Education does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13. In the event an organization licensing PSI Education Services offers exams to children under the age of 13, additional privacy measures in addition to those in this policy will be agreed with the licensing organization. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Site. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Data on this Site, or through our Products without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to PSI Education through this Site or our Products, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

Security:

PSI Education takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via our Products from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet, e-mail, or chat transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to PSI Education via the Internet.

Changes to PSI Education’s Privacy Policy:

The Site and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for PSI Education to make changes to this Privacy Policy.
