Software Secure Named SIIA Education CODiE Award Finalist for Best Education Cloud-based Solution

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 31, 2014) Software Secure, Inc, today announced that Remote Proctor NOW was named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA Education CODiE Awards for Best Education Cloud-based Solution. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier award for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for 29 years. The awards have over 75 categories and are organized by industry focus of Content, Education, and Software.

Remote Proctor NOW is a cost-effective, on-demand testing solution for any group size, from one test instance to thousands. A webcam-based solution, Remote Proctor NOW is quick to deploy and easy to use, providing an effective alternative to testing centers, personal proctors, and other inconvenient methods of securing the online testing environment. Students can take tests at their convenience, in the comfort of their own homes, using their own computer and a webcam. Remote Proctor NOW eliminates the need for acquiring new hardware or software, student set-up and scheduling. Using the robust back-end technology and services associated with the gold-standard Remote Proctor PRO solution, Remote Proctor NOW collects and stores the video from the students webcam, creates a video stream of everything displayed on the student’s computer screen, and the exam-time audio feed.

“We are honored to be a finalist again in the CODiE Awards,” said Douglas M. Winneg,  founder and CEO of Software Secure. “Remote Proctor NOW was designed from inception to bring integrity to distance learning programs, without sacrificing student convenience. Being recognized as a finalist validates our approach, and brings us great confidence that along with our 2012 CODiE award for our Remote Proctor PRO offering, we truly have best of breed solutions for every institution’s secure testing needs,” said Winneg.
