Asterisk Mobile Medical
Asterisk Mobile Medical (AMMC) works with Motocross and AMA Supercross riders across the US to test them for recovery from concussions. To assure rider safety, when a rider gets a concussion, they must take an exam to ensure they are healthy enough to resume racing. AMMC uses Remote Proctor NOW to make it more convenient for riders to take a test anytime-anywhere and makes it significantly easier for AMMC to administer and manage the process.
Blue Ridge Community College
Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) wanted to offer its students enrolled in its online Aviation Maintenance Technology program the option to take their exams online. However, FAA concerns about the security of the remote testing environment put these plans at risk. BRCC turned to Software Secure and its Remote Proctor NOW Solution to provide online learners a convenient and cost-effective alternative to testing centers while ensuring the integrity of the online exam. By instituting secure exam practices and technology, BRCC has strengthened the credibility and reputation of its distance education offering. Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) is the only FAA-approved academic institution to offer courses in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program online. BRCC students can now take their final exams on-demand using Remote Proctor NOW. The college believes its program could become the model for online aviation maintenance programs of the future.
College of Westchester
College of Westchester (CoW) is using Remote Proctor NOW in its new online Associates degree in Management, and BPA - Business Administration programs. They needed an easy, secure and cost-effective method to authenticate students participating in distance-learning programs. The goal was to provide a fully online experience for students –one which would not require them to travel to campus. The ideal solution also had to be on-demand, as they felt that the need to schedule the taking of an exam that live proctoring solutions required was not convenient for the students. Columbia Southern University
Columbia Southern University (CSU) is an Alabama-based online learning program with approximately 30,000 students and one of the first fully online universities in the USA. The challenge: Administration of online exams. CSU wanted to make proctoring easier for students (especially those in the military) and for the institution - while maintaining HEOA and DETC standards. The previous options: CSU students had to either find proctors to take their exams, drive to campus or go to a third party testing center. None of these options were convenient or cost-effective for the students or faculty and administration. That's when CSU turned to Software Secure to investigate proctoring technology. Now CSU students have the option to take exams from a time and place of their choosing, using Remote Proctor NOW, a secure remote proctoring solution that utilizes the students' own webcam. Florida Institute of Technology
Read Case Study: The Behavioral Science and Technology department’s Applied Behavioral Analysis certification program has become increasingly popular at Florida Institute of Technology. Being able to take this program during a student’s free time is convenient. However, the mechanics of test taking were not. The remote students of Florida Institute of Technology had to find and schedule trusted proctors to supervise them while taking an exam. With enrollment of 900 students per session from all over the world, finding proctors became more cumbersome and time consuming. Florida Tech quickly realized they didn’t have the manpower to do their own proctoring for 900 students.
Michigan State University

Radford University - School of Nursing
Radford University’s Nursing Department had selected the Kaplan Nursing Admissions Test to make it more convenient for students to apply to the nursing program. However, the test had to be taken on campus, forcing some test takers to drive up to eight hours - and from other states to take the admissions exam. The Department needed to identify a more efficient method to administer the entrance examination that protected the integrity of the test without sacrificing convenience. Radford wanted to expand their reach by allowing students to take the admissions exam from home using Remote Proctor NOW.
University of North Alabama
University of North Alabama (UNA) currently has over 3000 online students and is looking to make nearly all of its 39 majors available online. The challenge: UNA wanted to offer its faculty and students a more convenient and secure way to administer and take online exams with integrity. In the past, online learners had two options for taking tests – finding proctors or going to a test centers. These methods were time-consuming, costly and inconvenient for students. They also exposed the potential for cheating as remote proctors could not always be adequately verified by the school. UNA decided to implement Remote Proctor NOW to offer faculty an easier and more secure system to administer online exams, and provide students with a more flexible and cost-saving option to take an online exam. University of West Alabama
